The Company

Based in Vero Beach, Florida, the Metropolitan Interactive Videoconferencing Services Network (MIVNET) is the largest, fastest growing worldwide association of owner-operated public video conference room facilities.

Mark Levy, President of MIVNET, founded the network in 1994. From a small group of court reporters, the organization continues to emerge into a comprehensive international network and global directory of
video-conference meeting venues and service providers.

Every business day, thousands of users take advantage of MIVNET's free on-line global directory of video conference facility provider venues to search for and schedule rooms located in more than 717 cities and 79 countries. MIVNET users see a single global network with consistent terms and cost-effective rental rates.

Through the MIVNET Alliance Membership program, the company plays a unique promotional role in the public video-conferencing industry. Just like a Chamber of Commerce, membership fees fund MIVNET. Members enjoy numerous benefits including deluxe room listings in the global MIVNET directory and business referrals through MIVNET members and end users of the web site.

In 2003, and again in 2007 MIVNET re-engineered the MIVNET.com portal with powerful new room search tools. Users can search by zip code, and specific room features and services (e.g. coordination of multi-location events, IP conferencing, off site rentals, and Webcasting). In 2007, MIVNET introduced "Earth Search"® .This new search interface now gives video-conference users the ability to create a personalized meeting planning experience. Users can browse detailed facility listings and send information and scheduling requests to MIVNET rooms from the web site.

Yellow Pages. Now search for video-conference related products and services under the following categories: MCU-Gateways, Remote Services, Equipment Marketplace, Internet Broadcasting, Meeting Planners and Telecom Providers.

The MIVNET portal offers powerful features for MIVNET Alliance Members, including an open database for facility listings that can be updated by members at any time. Alliance members now receive e-mail or fax notification of room scheduling requests made by users online. Notification contacts are self-administered by members. Customers may leave feedback for the provider and future customers of the establishment.

Attorneys, corporations, legal service providers and job recruiters are high-volume users of public room videoconferencing services. Adoption hearings, depositions, and expert witness testimony is regularly handled using video-conferencing. Most recruiters now interview job candidates via video-conferencing to save both time and travel expenses.
